Jean Beliveau, nicknamed "Le Gros Bill", was born August 31, 1931 in Rivieres Quebec. This 6' 3" center, bearing the #4, started his NHL career in the 1950-51 season with the Montreal Canadiens.

Jean stayed with the team until the 1971 season.

During his stay, Jean accumulated 1125 games with 507 goals and 712 assists.

He was also selected for the All Star Team 10 times and received 2 Hart Memorial trophies in 1956 and 1964, 1 Art Ross in 1956, 1 Conn Smythe in 1965 but his biggest achievement was winning the Stanley Cup 10 times.

Jean Beliveau was inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame
